Who We Are

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

What We Do

We provide programs that nurture the mind, body and soul to alleviate the symptoms of poverty and address the root issues that cause it. Each year we serve more than 35,000 people throughout Onondaga County through 33 diverse programs, from Early Childhood Education services, to Veterans support, emergency services, youth shelters and more.
