Who We Are
The Syracuse Poster Project generates community and sense of place through poster art, and develops ways for poster art to sustain itself. The Project brings together Central New York poets and artists to create an annual series of illustrated poetry posters for the kiosks of downtown Syracuse. The Project enlivens downtown, strengthens the city's sense of place, and spreads its value by selling poster-based products. For this civic art project to become financially viable, it has to operate as an effective business by marketing and selling its products, networking, and reaching patrons for support. We need volunteers and artistic or civic-minded people interested in joining our team. Volunteers have the satisfaction of establishing our community as a place of vision, creativity, and culture. Further details are available at: www.posterproject.org.
