The Central New York Digitization Center is located within the offices of the William G. Pomeroy Foundation on E. Brighton Avenue in Syracuse, NY. Digitization volunteers are trained to: Scan documentsHandle fragile recordsTransport materials to and from partners and off-site storageFollow best practices for file management and inventoryOur Central New York Digitization Center has state-of-the-art digitization hardware that we typically operate Monday through Thursday in three-hour shifts, starting at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commit to a shift once a week for at least three months.
