Volunteer with the Alliance
We are always looking for volunteers with a wide variety of skill sets and will design the volunteer’s “job description” to fit individuals’ interests and skills. Full training is provided!
We'd love to work with:
- Central New York resident(s)
- Personal experience with Lyme and tick-borne diseases – family member, friend, self
- Anyone who feels passionate about our cause!
Examples of volunteer activities:
- Community outreach (i.e. education at Lyme information table at community events, post fliers for Lyme support group or Legs Against Lyme walk in your community, volunteer at special events, or help at formal Lyme education presentations, etc.)
- Donor relations, fundraising campaigns or grant writing – help us raise money to support our work!
- Graphic design to help create flyers, education materials, ads, etc.
- Social media ambassadors to spread the word by sharing CNY Lyme Alliance posts on your platforms.
- Video creation/editing for short reels or longer form tips & interviews.
- Accompany speakers to handle sign in, capture attendees’ contact info.
- Photography for social media posts.
- Serve as an education ambassador at community events.
