Brunch N Bible Study, Inc is looking launching Brunch N Blessings: Food Basket Exchange, a reciprocal food security program that provides nutritious, culturally responsive food baskets to underserved women and their families in Syracuse NY. We are looking for the following volunteers for monthly giveaway:
Greeter/Sign-In
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provides overview of how the program operates to new clients
- Coordinates client intake or sign-in process
- Directs client to waiting or shopping area
- Shopping Assistant
- Engages directly with the client while they shop, helping to meet their needs
- Ensures the client takes the appropriate amount of product for their household size and per food group
- Gently enforces any necessary product quantity limits
Inventory Replenishment
- Restocks shelves with product as inventory levels decrease during shopping
- “Faces” or “fronts” product; creates bountiful-looking displays
- Ensures proper stock rotation
Inventory Organizer / Receiver
- Receives product from the food bank, retail pickups, and/or community donations
- Assesses product dates and container integrity; marks with received dates and ensures proper stock rotation
- Sorts product into storage and food group categories
Bagger / Carrying Assistant
- Assists clients to pack up their pantry bags
- Helps carry out their pantry packs, including helping them load up their car or providing helpful means of carrying their bags home
