Calendar Happens On Aug 5, 2026

Description

Rising energy bills are squeezing families across New York, and the decisions about our climate and our costs are being made right now. AGREE is looking for volunteers ready to help shape a cleaner, more affordable future. Whether it's signing a petition, making a phone call, writing a letter to an elected official, attending a public meeting, or gathering alongside fellow advocates in person, every action helps build the public support needed to create change. Join AGREE's Advocacy Training and learn how you can turn your climate concerns into meaningful action while becoming part of a growing movement for a cleaner, more affordable, and more equitable energy future.

During this training, you'll learn how public policy is made, how to communicate effectively with elected officials and the media, and how to take action at the local, state, and federal levels. You'll also learn about opportunities to engage with AGREE's campaigns through outreach, community events, public meetings, and advocacy mobilizations. Most importantly, we'll take an advocacy action together during the training so you can see firsthand just how easy it can be to start making a difference. No prior experience is necessary. You just need to bring a willingness to learn, connect with others, and be part of a growing movement working toward a more sustainable and equitable future. We hope you'll join us and discover how your voice can make a difference.
