The American Dairy Association North East is once again donating a TRUCK LOAD of milk to distribute to the Fulton community! As more people continue to file for unemployment, the need for food assistance is drastically increasing. New York dairy organizations are stepping up to deliver some much-needed relief with a tractor trailer carrying 4,000 gallons of milk! To ensure the safety and health of all involved in the distribution, there will be a drive-through distribution process. We need volunteers to help us with this contactless distribution in the following roles:
- unloading milk from crates
- loading milk into the trunks of vehicles
- loading empty milk crates and pallets back into the trucks
Face coverings and gloves will be provided to all volunteers and social distancing will be observed to the extent that it is possible.
Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable sneakers, layers, and sunscreen. ADANE will provide bottled water, snacks, and hand sanitizer.
Please be aware that this volunteer opportunity will require lots of bending, twisting, and lifting - it is likely to be a hot day and it will definitely be an active afternoon. Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver.
In order to comply with both Matilda's Law and the CDC guidelines,
we are asking all volunteers 65 and older to stay home.
