Who We Are
Our mission is to change the world for homeless and at-risk cats—four paws at a time. We are a 100% volunteer organization comprising dozens of foster homes and hundreds of active volunteers who help manage all of our life-saving programs. Each year, we find new adoptive homes for more than 1,000 homeless cats and facilitate spay/neuter surgeries for around 2,500 cats.
What We Do
The CNY Cat Coalition was founded in 2002 and is one of Central New York’s largest cat rescue/adoption and spay/neuter promoters. Our primary activities are: • Providing low-cost spay/neuter services for low-income households • Rescuing and fostering cats in volunteer foster homes • Adopting homeless animals into new forever families • Conducting trap-neuter-release (TNR) programs to control the feral cat population • Promoting responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of cats
