Who We Are
The Camillus Canal Society operates the Liz & Dave Beebe Camillus Erie Canal Park through volunteers. The Park, founded in 1972, has been operated almost exclusively by volunteers for 52 years. Our 1842 Nine Mile Creek Aqueduct is the only rewatered, navigable aqueduct left in the World from this system.
What We Do
We educate the public about the historic Erie Canal through our museum, our school programs and our narrated boat rides. We also care for the 400 acre park and waterway, including lawn mowing, tree cutting, gardening and trail maintenance.
