Who We Are
The Dunbar Center has been a cornerstone of Syracuse’s South Side for over a century. We were founded to create opportunity, dignity, and belonging for African American families during a time when those things were denied. Today, we honor that history by continuing to meet the needs of our community with the same spirit of resilience and hope.
What We Do
The Dunbar Center strengthens Syracuse’s South Side by providing programs that support children, families, and seniors. We offer youth enrichment, senior services, food and resource assistance, and community‑building activities that promote stability, connection, and opportunity.
