FOCUS Greater Syracuse, Inc. is a citizen driven organization that taps citizen creativity to bring about change in Central New York by enabling citizens, organizations and government to work together to enhance the quality of our lives and our economic future.
FOCUS Greater Syracuse, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization in Onondaga County.
FOCUS has promoted civic engagement, participation, and education in the Central New York community for over 25 years! Through our programs and initiatives, every day people have been successfully connected with local government, organizations, and businesses, resulting in positive changes in our community.
FOCUS Forums: Each month FOCUS hosts a free, public forum on a topics of interest to the region presented by experts in education, environment, culture and the arts, recreation, business, health, public service, etc.
Citizens Academy: An 11-week program for community members to discover the operations of government and public service in Onondaga County. Participants discuss topics such as economic development, health & human services, environment, public safety, and more with panels of experts at venues such as Common Council Chambers, Metropolitan Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Justice Center, etc.
Wisdom Keeper: Wisdom Keeper celebrates community members who demonstrate exceptional leadership, continuous care, and a clear vision for the future of Central New York! Wisdom Keeper is FOCUS' signature, annual fundraiser!
