Who We Are
The Kia Foundation, Inc is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization that assists dog and cat owners in need. The Kia Foundation, Inc. is the only pet food bank in Syracuse, NY and we focus on low income, disabled, Veteran, home-bound, and homeless individuals and families. We manage our Pet Care Assistance Program that qualified members can put together membership packages based on their animal(s) and The Kia Foundation, Inc. administers a "drop off" each month right to the member's door step. We also host monthly mobile pet food and supply giveaways where qualifying participants receive FREE supplemental pet food and supplies. Overall The Kia Foundation, Inc. understands the struggles in impoverished neighborhoods and we work to bring programs, education and awareness into communities that need it and in an overall effort to make these resources accessible and attainable.
What We Do
The Kia Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization that focuses on assisting families in need with pet care needs through a variety of programs including financial and basic pet needs.
Mission Statement: Preventing animals from being in crisis by strengthening the common bond between owner and pet through assistance and education. - Mitigating situations of animals in crisis by: 1. Providing financial and basic needs assistance. Grantees must submit a written request either by mail or email. There will be a lottery draw to determine the family to which the funds are given. All funds will be paid directly to any organization, animal hospital etc. Grantees will be eligible for up to 25% of the bill associated with pet costs but not to exceed $300. 2. Helping in the effort to find caring homes for rescued animals creating awareness on animal cruelty and over population.
