The Arts Off Main Festival is a reimagining of the twelve-year-old Arts & Wine Festival. It’s being held August 6th, 2022, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The parking lot behind the McNeil building, nestled between Main, Central and Church Streets will be transformed into a family-friendly celebration of Cortland’s art, creativity, and downtown. The celebration will be free and complete with live music, performing artists, children’s activities, juried art vendors, wine tasting and food from downtown restaurants.
Live music and entertainment performances throughout the day. Festival goers of all
ages will be able to participate in an interactive chalk mural. Another Chalk Artist will
create a vibrant festival mural right before your eyes.
For the children there will be free activities at the Children’s tent all day. A Pinwheel
Decorating Contest is also being held with kits being handed out in the month prior to
the festival so children will have a chance to use their creative talents ahead of time or
at the event. Prizes will be awarded for ages 5 and under, 6-8-, and 9–12-year-olds.
Check our website for places to pick up the kits.
You will be able to listen to great music from talented local performers while enjoying a
glass of wine or craft beverage in the wine garden or enjoying food from downtown restaurants in our outdoor eating area. A Takeout Station will be set up to provide a spot for placing orders
and the delivery of takeout orders from local restaurants. Tables and chairs will be
provided on site so that patrons will be able to enjoy the entertainment while eating.
We need volunteers to assist with watching vendors booths while they have a break, and to assist with the takeout station.
