County North Children’s Center is a nationally-accredited (by the National Association for the Education of Young Children) and locally-licensed (by the NY State Office of Children and Family Services) non-profit which has been serving the local community for over 50 years. It provides quality care for over 100 children from infant through elementary school age. For the past few years, it has also served as one of the implementation sites for the Liverpool Central School District’s extended pre-kindergarten (EPK) program.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs the Center and assists the Executive and Program Directors in running it. Both current parents and guardians with children at the Center, as well as qualified community members at large are welcome to serve. The membership size ranges from six to eighteen members. Member terms are three years long. As a member of the Board, one assumes responsibility for ensuring that the Center fulfills its mission in daily operations and remains sustainable in the future.
