POSITION OVERVIEW
Contact Community Services provides community-based support through its Prevention & Connection Program, including the Contact Warmline (inbound supportive listening) and TeleCare (scheduled outbound reassurance calls).
Volunteer Community Connectors play a key role in delivering these services by providing compassionate, non-clinical, phone-based support to individuals seeking connection, emotional support, or regular check-ins.
This role focuses on early support and prevention, recognizing that:
Not every difficult moment is a crisis—but every moment deserves care.
Our volunteers help reduce isolation, support emotional well-being, and connect individuals to additional resources such as 211 or 988, when appropriate.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in mental health, human services, psychology, social work, or community-based care, as well as those seeking meaningful volunteer experience.
VOLUNTEER-SUPPORTED SERVICES
Contact Warmline – Provides free, confidential, non-crisis support through inbound calls focused on listening, emotional support, and connection.
TeleCare – A telephone reassurance program providing scheduled outbound calls to individuals experiencing isolation, loneliness, or limited social support.
This is a non-clinical role. Our volunteers are not expected to provide counseling, therapy, or independently manage crisis situations.
As Contact’s services continue to grow and adapt, the support provided by our volunteers and staff may evolve accordingly.
