Ever wondered what it was like back in the day when milk was delivered to houses? Here's your chance to be the milk delivery driver!
The Salvation Army has been asked by Onondaga County to deliver milk to older adults and they need YOUR help to do that.
For Milk Delivery Volunteers:
All volunteers should wear a mask or face covering and gloves. The Salvation Army will provide gloves to volunteers.
Please arrive at 10 a.m. on the day you signed up to 749 South Warren Street, pulling up near The Salvation Army shield and glass doors.
Call or text Crystal (315-345-4492) or Patrick (315-907-2715) upon arrival to let them know you are there to deliver milk and wait in your vehicle.
The Salvation Army will provide volunteers with the route sheet and milk to deliver.
The Salvation Army are providing a quick reference sheet to drivers on how to do no-contact delivery. Volunteers will be delivering to a maximum of 10 individuals.
In order to comply with both Matilda's Law and the CDC guidelines,
we are asking all volunteers 65 and older to stay home.
