Help us make sure EVERYBODY counts!
The Housing and Homeless Coalition, along with the CoC NY-505 will be canvasing Central New York on one night to survey those who are staying in places not meant for human habitation.
The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is a national effort and they are conducted yearly on a single night in January, in accordance with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to determine the number of people experiencing homelessness. This includes individuals and families who are residing in emergency shelters and transitional living facilities, as well as unsheltered individuals on the street or in places not meant for sleeping.
We are in need of volunteers for the Point In Time Count on Wednesday, January 24th from 7 pm - 12 am for the counties of Onondaga, Cayuga, and Oswego.
All volunteers must attend mandatory training prior to the event in the respective county where they would like to volunteer.
